It was the second Christmas that Nicole and I were spending together as a married couple (winter of 2005). You always think you know someone while you are dating them and engaged to them, but even more of our true colors come shining through in those first few years of marriage. Nicole knew I liked the Star Wars movie series while we were dating/engaged, but she did not know that I was a huge nerd that would wait in line for hours to be at the front of the line when the new movie would come out until the last Star Wars movie came out. I bought a cheap light saber to take with me to the final Star Wars movie in the spring of 2005 when it was released, because I knew I would be surrounded by fellow nerds. She waited most of the day with me and the group of people that went to see the movie with us. I played around with my cheap light saber and noted to her all of the "cool" lightsabers that people had (they are called "Force FX" lightsabers"). Fast forward to Christmas of that year and we opened a few presents that we got for each other in the morning and after all the presents had been opened Nicole said "hold on" and went into our room and told me to close my eyes. When I opened them she was standing before me with my very own Force FX lightsaber. I was giddy beyond belief. People who are not Star Wars geeks wouldn't know this, but those lighsabers cost about $120. Back then $120 was a lot of money (it still is...but it was bigger back then when we made less money). I took it with me everywhere that day showing it off (I don't know that many people cared or thought it was cool....but I did). It was a great Christmas present and took me completely by surprise. Here are a few pics:

YAY! im glad you liked your present! I don't know if Max appreciates it but thats ok :)
