Nicole and I were living in a 500 square foot, 1 bedroom apartment in downtown Riverside. We had very little space, but somehow found a way to get a full sized Christmas tree into our living room. Looking back I still have no clue how we survived financially making the amount of money that we made those first few years. In any case, we both got to experience our first Christmas with a new half of the family. Nicole got to see how crazy my family is on Christmas eve and I got to see how her family operates on Christmas day. This new chapter in both of our lives was significant. This is a rather simple memory, but it was a festive season with Nicole working at Godiva Chocolatier and me working at Barnes and Noble (take a few guesses where everyone got gifts from...haha). We also began our annual tradition of getting one Christmas ornament from Disneyland. That year it was a disco ball Mickey Ear Ball ornament. Over the years our collection has grown. I am thankful that God has given us so many good Christmases over these 6 years of marriage. This is actually our 7th Christmas together though. All glory to God!
