I will admit that as a child I was not immune to liking cool Christmas gifts. One year I had opened the gifts my parents bought for me and assumed that I was done opening gifts. After we were done my dad said "you have one more present" and my mom handed me a piece of paper with a clue written on it. So I paraded around the house and outside trying to find each clue which would lead me to the next clue. After I found the last clue it had me go back to the Christmas tree and when I got there my dad was standing there with my very own GT Mountain bike! It was a pristine riding machine which ended up sticking with me through my formative years. I was shocked and absolutely loved that gift. I don't know if getting a bike has the same appeal that it did back then, but let me tell you - I was a happy camper that Christmas. My family always had great Christmas celebrations.
What a cool way to get a present! Is this the bike you flipped off of down the hill?
ReplyDeleteactually no...haha...this bike is still hanging in the rafters of the garage.
ReplyDeleteI remember how fun it was to plan the clues, and how surprised you were. Happy Memories!
