Church is important for followers of Christ. A good church opens the Word of God each week with the Pastor faithfully teaching the congregation verse by verse. A good church is faithful to pray for the members of the church and the community around them. A good church reaches out to the community with evangelistic efforts. A good church reaches out to the community to help those who are less fortunate than they are. A good church has discipleship groups and bible studies available for the people to attend. A good church will keep you accountable and help you to stay on the straight and narrow. A good church will be there for you in moments of crisis. This list could go on quite a bit longer. The point is that though no church will be perfect every follower of Christ should still be in a church at least once a week on a regular basis. I know my discipleship group that meets on Tuesday mornings has helped with memorizing hundreds of memory verses and learning more about the Bible. I know that my church has given me opportunities to lead ministries and get a ministry going that our church was lacking. I know that my church is a place where I can be taught the Bible. I know that my church is a place I can go to with prayer requests. I know that my church supported Nicole and me financially when we went to East Asia this summer. Though my church is not perfect and probably never will be I still am grateful to have it as my church. My walk has grown more in the 6 years that I have been going there full time than at any other point in my life. Hope you have a good church, but if you haven't don't give up trying out churches to see where you fit in and where they glorify God as a body of believers. Good day to you!

Hebrews 10:24-25
24and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, 25not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.
