Absalom
I just watched Jacob Prasch deliver a sermon on the relationship between Absalom and his father David. The thrust of the message was how agonizing it is when a loved one dies who is unsaved. When news is brought of Absalom's death David is not happy. He in fact laments what has happened. The sermon brought me to tears as I thought of my unsaved family and friends. Oh how I want them to be saved. There was a time of prayer and it was very meaningful to me. Sometimes I feel like my loved ones won't listen to me when I talk to them about the Lord, so I was praying that God would either open them up to talk to me or that He would bring someone else into their lives with a zeal and love for Christ to share with them. Jacob Prasch when he prayed corporately after the silent prayer time asked "God, please do whatever is necessary to turn our loved ones back to your son Jesus Christ. Please God." That is my prayer.

Thanks for sharing this...I wish I would have been able to hear it, too bad I was at work.
