Nicole and I moved into our first house this past Saturday. We had the help from many people. I am grateful for all of their help. It would have been a tall order to move out of our apartment in two hours on our own. It would have been an even taller task to carry many of our furniture items up the stairs in our new house. I will post pictures in the coming days which will chronicle the "big move" (as my mom put it on her facebook). Last night we cleaned at our old apartment. I got a small tear in my eye as I reflected on our 4 years and 11 months that we lived at this apartment. I wrote about my reflections a bit here, but I just wanted to add that a thought to that post. It is amazing how we identify a place where we put our "stuff" as home so quickly. That apartment was our home for those years. So much happened over those years. Some of it really good. Some of it really bad. Life packs a lot into five years sometimes.

I can relate....even though we haven't moved yet. We are beginning to experience a broad range of emotions as we prepare to leave the place we have called home for the past nine years.
