Nicole sent me this article and it was another reminder of time not forgetting past indescretions. Many people I talk to have the impression that if they turn over a new leaf and do not live a debaucherous lifestyle anymore that God will pardon them on the day of judgment. But if our human courts don't operate that way then why would God operate that way? The truth is He doesn't. We break God's law continually throughout our lives (lying, stealing, blaspheming, coveting, putting other things before God...) and deserve to pay the fine for our crimes. That is why Jesus dying on the cross for our sin is so amazing. We broke God's Law, but Jesus paid our fine. That means He can legally dismiss our court case. He can commute the death sentence we all deserve: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." Then He rose from the dead and defeated death. Please, repent today and trust in Jesus alone, and God will grant you the gift of everlasting life. Then read your Bible daily and obey it. Then you won't need time to forgive your crimes (it won't), you actually will be forgiven. Click on the link below to read the article I spoke of at the beginning of this post.
