The Logos

We always interpret Scripture in light of Scripture. This is not only a truth for arriving at a doctrinal unity but for arriving at a unified view of historicity and textual compatibility. The Scriptures tell us that, "The sum of Your Word is truth" (Psalm 119:160). Thus one passage illuminates another.


Just as Jesus was fully human and fully divine - the incarnate "Logos" -  the written "Logos" is likewise fully human and fully divine. The Bible is 100% of human authorship just as Jesus was fully God and fully man. Its human element does not detract from its divinity, nor does its divinity detract from its humanity. As Jesus was God in a man, the Scriptures are the Word of God in the word of man.
